Need a home loan?

If you need a home loan but have been turned down due to bad credit you need to find the best way forward.

Some people simply keep searching after they are denied in the hopes that they will eventually find a lender who can provide them with financing.

This is what I call focusing on the wrong ball. You could get that loan much faster and at a better rate if you put more of your time and money into improving your credit report and less into lender shopping.

If you must accept a high interest mortgage to keep or buy your home, don't forget about your credit afterwards.

Tip: If you have an adjustable rate mortgage you should think of your fixed rate period as a window of time to improve your credit report before it's time to refinance the mortgage.

Don't end up another foreclosure statistic.

Adjustable rate mortgages have there place but if you don't have a plan for refinancing them by the time they go adjustable, you can quickly get overwhelmed by the increased payments.

Avoid this situation by planing on refinancing or selling your home well before it's time to do it.
