Free Credit Report
I have included two options for obtaining your free credit report on this page.Option 0ne: Get it directly from the three credit bureaus by clicking the link below, or by contacting them by phone or mail. The only problem with this option is that you do not get your score, only your report. Annual Credit Report Request Service P.O. If you want your score from the big three you have to contact them and then pay for it. I have included their contact info below also. Equifax, P.O. Box 740241 Atlanta, GA 30374 800-685-1111; Web site: www.equifax.com

Option two: Sign up with a credit monitoring company and they will often give you a free trial to try out their service. This trial will include your report and score. The downside of this is that you need a credit card to sign up, and if you don't cancel before the free trial ends you will be charged the monthly fee for their service. The upside is that you can keep the service to better protect yourself from identity theft and you can recheck your credit whenever you want. Many credit cards also offer a monitoring service and most run about 10$ per month. Below you will see a link to a company called LifeLock, which is actually better than a monitoring service. Rather than notifying you after identity theft has occurred, they prevent it from happening.
